The Exchange Club Family Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse was established in July 1991 through the collaboration of the Exchange Club of Mobile, the National Exchange Club Foundation, and the local Parents Anonymous chapter. Exchange Clubs nationwide adopted child abuse prevention as their national project in 1979. Each club supports the child abuse prevention center nearest them. There are over 100 centers nationwide with two in Alabama.

The Exchange Club of Mobile continues to support the Mobile Family Center with fundraisers such as the annual That’s Jake Charity Golf Tournament, the Auburn-Alabama Jamboree and the Luck of the Irish Cookoff for Saint Patrick’s Day. 

Funding from the Children’s Trust Fund and Alabama Civil Justice Foundation have made the expansion of services and programs possible throughout the years. Hundreds of families are served each year through our various programs.
